SOR is a fully automated observation and recognizing system for
field artillery and air defense. SOR has a lot of functions for
observation and determination target coordinates and field artillery fire control.
There are tow TV cameras, rangefinder, inclinometers, monitor and control unit for officer
and soldier monitor and control unit tow axes remote controlled motorized
positioning system.
The multi-functional SOR softer is designed to determines spherical and rectangular
co-ordinates of the target, calculates 6 topogeodesic tasks and one fire control task,
calculates inclining to horizontal co-ordinates, fast orientation to target function, TV remote
control for both TV cameras, automatic orientation to the target using incoming for the SOR
target co-ordinates or hand get in spherical co-ordinates, vehicle orientation to North by
correction function, communications by RS 232 to PC or other devices e.c.t.
The master control unit to the officer may direct an observation and target co-ordinates
determination functions to soldier control unit or cancel this job.
